Keep a field notebook
When a street introduces a useful person, shop or location, record the district and how you arrived. One observation can help several future tasks. Do not turn an atmospheric screenshot into an exact path or unlock guide.
- Record what is accessible now and what is visibly gated.
- Note the stated requirement, not an assumed prerequisite.
- Separate the location description from any story reveal.
Conversations can be discoveries
The July blog describes learning recipes through conversations with competitors. Treat this as a discovery relationship, not evidence that every competitor has a recipe or that every dialogue option grants one. Capture the actual interaction when available.
- Observed place
- Access requirement
- People / vendors / venues
- Linked next task
Connections enter the public database only after evidence checks.
Connect discoveries back to a decision
A new vendor can change sourcing, a new property can simplify travel and a new character can start a story thread. Add those links to your plan so exploration informs tomorrow’s choices. The daily planner keeps your priorities editable rather than making the story subordinate to a revenue target.
What we’ll check at launch
- Specific discoveries and triggers
- Story versus points-based gates
- Recipe conversation outcomes
Choose priorities, group errands and make room for the city.
