Follow the catch into the kitchen
For each useful observation, record the location, conditions, catch name and what the game allows you to do with it. A fish needs a verified recipe link before we can recommend it as a supply source for a particular dish.
- Record usable yield rather than only catch count.
- Note the destination inventory and any transfer.
- Separate selling the catch from consuming it as an ingredient.
The cost is partly your time
Fishing can serve several goals: supplies, exploration or a break from the business. The ingredient optimizer lets you assign a value to your own minutes. Leaving that value at zero means comparing cash only; it does not prove fishing has no opportunity cost.
- Fishing trip
- Record usable catch
- Verify recipe link
- Supply or sell
No fish species, catch rate, sale price or recipe input is inferred.
Explore without a fake spot ranking
The Q&A describes discovering spots and species as fishing expands. We do not publish a best-spot list from scenery alone. Record access, weather, time and build when testing, then compare repeated trips under similar conditions.
- Confirm dock and boat access in the current build.
- Check the actual rest and overnight controls.
- Use official weather descriptions as context, not catch-rate formulas.
What we’ll check at launch
- Fish species, bait and locations
- Catch/recipe/sale mappings
- Boat, overnight and weather behavior
Compare the cash, time and usable yield of your available supply options.
