Separate what an object does from how it looks
A decorative object and a piece of functional equipment may share a visual style but answer different questions. Record the displayed category and any explicit function. Do not invent comfort, prestige or customer-attraction values from an item’s appearance.
- Item name and vendor location.
- Price and build at the time observed.
- Dimensions or placement limits shown in game.
- Functional effects only when explicitly supported.
Plan a room before buying duplicates
Create a short list of the room’s purposes and the items needed. Keep a record of the available space and existing furnishings. This is an organization method; it is not a claim that the game enforces a particular layout score.
- Location & access
- Acquisition terms
- Furniture & storage
- Your daily routine
Rent/purchase wording varies between official previews. Confirm each property’s live terms.
Which furniture deserves its own guide?
An item becomes a useful database entry when it answers a distinct question: where to buy it, how to unlock it, whether it supports a requirement or how it behaves. A name and screenshot alone do not justify hundreds of indexed pages.
